Great show from two chinese kids from 10th edition of cirque du demain. Awesome handstand and contortion. They look really young, almost 6-7.

Chinese Jugglers with Pot

In china evry years there is a circus school competition, the national golden lion prize acrobatics competition. This one its from 2009 is the 6th edition, evry school have an awesome level and they make a crazy show mixing some disciplin.

Soon i'll upload another show from this competition, there are "just" 8 dvd with absurd performance.

I really enjoy this technic, pot manipolation/juggling. Its so funny with fake volunteer. Jeje
A friend of mine were in China, in the city of circus (i don't remember the name), and he told me, the guy doing this discipline have a callus on forehead!
I think Maksim Komaro got some inspiration from them, for his busket number! Its really nice one.

I think its so interessing why the african style doing chinese pole is so similar then this. Because i've seen some african video and they do a lot of analogue chinese stuff, like antipode or pot.

When i start to do circus, i get crazy for slack rope, but know i just appreciate the technic.

This video is really good, he does headstand on rope, i've never seen this on slack rope.

Los Sandros / Los Alegria Brothers Trio

This jugglers are from Spain, they are really good, specially with kick ups stuff, and funny. I saw always the trio (Los Alegria Brothers Trio) and the show is awesome and hilarious, but in this show they are quartet (Los Sandros). I dont know who she is, but is good. Maybe some one know about her.
They use the same clubs of Ant Platas, wood and cork. Also Manolo Alvarez used the same clubs.
Its so curious why a lot of old spanish juggler were really good with kick ups.

I really like this kind of acrobatic! I love the jump inside of hand to hand.
But i'm a bit sad, because i saw a lot of circus contemporary show, and nobody do or maybe thought, something like this. I think its really interessing way.They researched so much.
A lot of people said: "chinese doing just crazy technic", im not sure about this. In this dvd from 1959 i saw a really interessing stuff.
I'd really like to see in some comtemporay show this kind of acrobatic, o something similar. Or maybe these level its really high, i dont know.

Chinese taming bears

This video is incredible, i can't understand how they can tame the bears and learn this kind of stuff.
Some years ago, i saw another incredible bears video from 5th Cirque du Montecarlo.
Another bears juggle hulahoop, but there was on of this really impressive. Bear doing backflip with a bit help of human, trick with acrobatic bar and jumping horses (im not sure the translation) and then after this to kick a clown ass!

Ant Platas

This is a performance at 1st Convention of Juggling in Spain

In the end of 2006 Antonio Francisco Platas turning 75, but its not in condition to
appreciate it, we want to give to him another tribute from El Ambidextro. Platas was our
inspiratory, our friend and our teacher.
Thanks to him for our first circus enthusiasm and his company was always a big energy for our
project.

Antonio Francisco Platas born 24th dicembre 1930 in Madrid. At 9 he start to practice with
three pool balls, animated from his uncle Chaliyò, circus clown on bycicle.
He debuted at 11, in Taborra, a little town of Albacete. His first teacher was Claliyo, but
he get a lot of ispiration from Egea, the portugues Manhisok, the phenomenom Felovis and an
incrible Bela Kremo.

In 1947 he woked with his brother Volantin (tightrope walker) at Circus Price.
From then, Ant Platas worked a lot for all of Spain, in theater, cinema, bull place an circus.

Ant Platas show was spectacular, beautiful and emotional. With tennis rackets was, the first to juggle with 6 rackets in the air, and his devil stick with sword, would show us an imaginary fight with himself.
He used also awata, most known as mouthstick, paperboard rings covered with silver paper, clubs and cigarboxes.

Ant Plata's clubs were made of wood and cork as shown in the picture.

For the public, Ant Platas exploted to enter on stage. He enjoyed sharing his art, maybe
this ability of communicate and his own symphaty, humanity and joy his best quality.

6th dicember 1997, we made an Ant Platas Tribute in Madrid, to collect money to pay what was missing for him retirement.

The last time we saw him, he didnt recognize himself in the his show at screen.
"This.. i was doing this, something similar i was doing" he told. If you didnt remember, we'll
remember you for sure, and we'll do all of possible to let others know who you are. For us,
the best.

Hello! I am a juggler from Italy and I LOVE the circus. Especially circus from the past...
I have created this blog to share, with other circus fan, many videos that I've collected in these years, so everyone can enjoy and be amazed as I am. I'm trying to upload only unseen videos.
Requests are welcome and accepted and I'm looking forward for any advice to improve this blog.
